DR. BENTLEY HIRES BRENT LITTLEFIELD AS FIELD CONSULTANT
TUSCALOOSA -Dr. Robert J. Bentley announced that veteran political operative Brent Littlefield of Littlefield Consulting has joined his team as Field Consultant.
For more than a decade, Mr. Littlefield has worked with pro-free enterprise Republican candidates at the state and local level to help elect U.S. Senators, Governors, Members of Congress, Judges, and local candidates. He also has worked with national organizations such as the American Conservative Union, the nation's oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization and the Republican National Committee. Mr. Littlefield also led NFIB's national effort to reform the IRS tax code by promoting a simpler and fairer system. The Washington Post reported on his efforts as a political director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) as one of the featured people and organizations impacting the 1998 mid-term elections.
Dr. Robert J. Bentley stated upon hiring Mr. Littlefield that, "Brent has a successful record, and I am especially impressed by his work as a political director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) fighting against higher taxes and regulations that hurt small businesses and job growth. Brent's hard work fighting to protect small businesses and making it easier to create jobs will prove especially useful as I continue to take my agenda for "Putting Alabamians Back to Work" across the state."
"Brent's grit and determination is exactly what we need in our efforts to mobilize our voters. He is yet another great addition to Dr. Bentley's team. His record of winning by utilizing grassroots efforts is a distinct asset for our campaign as we continue to pick up momentum," added David A. Ferguson, Dr. Bentley's campaign manager. "
Said Mr. Littlefield, "Dr. Bentley has a vision for the future of Alabama to help diagnose and solve the problems of job growth and education with his plan for 'Putting Alabamians Back to Work.' He will fix an ailing ethics system in need of professional care. His record of leadership as a Captain in the United States Air Force, a doctor, and a successful, conservative Legislator will serve the people of Alabama well."
Mr. Littlefield has been an analyst and commentator for FOX News and MSNBC, and has appeared in the pages of the Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, and Charlotte Observer. He has won number of Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants for creative work for Republican candidates and conservative organizations.
